Aisha Khan Says Goodbye to Entertainment Industry

Let’s admit it, over the past few years Pakistani entertainment industry faced quite a raise in popularity.

Mainly due to the amazing people working day and night to make each entertainment piece more powerful, captivating and interesting. This includes renowned model and actress Aisha Khan. Where have we not seen Aisha Khan flawlessly brushing her talent in? From the popular TV series Mann Mayal to her exquisite expressions in modeling, she has amazed us countless of times.

However, not all good things stay forever and this applies to our favorite Aisha Khan. About a few hours ago, Aisha Khan revealed on her official Facebook page that she will be leaving the Pakistani entertainment industry.

Her words came out as a shock for hundreds of people as she didn’t give a reason for her sudden desire to leave. However, we all understood. While many were sad and wanted her to stay, others encouraged her and wish the actress good luck for the future.

“With great pleasure and humility, I have decided to bid farewell to our wonderful media industry. I am bowing out with immense satisfaction and a lot of pride to move on to the next phase of my life,” the actress wrote.

She added, “I have always tried to keep my professional and personal life separate and request everyone to understand please. I would also like to let my colleagues and friends know about the limitation that I might have had in accepting new projects since 2016 out of which a few scripts stayed with me for a long time. My apologies. As I move on in life to discover how fate unfolds, I would request my well wishers to remember me and my parents in their prayers.”

Aisha’s announcement took the industry by surprise, with many ofher co-stars like Ahsan Khan, Syed Jibran and Zahid Ahmed expressing their shock on her Facebook post.

Mansha Pasha said, “What?! The industry is going to lose one of its brightest stars and one of the best actors. However, respect your decision if it makes you happy.”

“But what about us? We had to do one more together!” exclaimed Tooba Siddiqui. “Shine on my friend in whatever you feel happy in, may you lead ur life on best choices.”

“Aisha, it takes a lot of courage to take this step. So proud of you. Great luck for [the] future, but we all will miss [your] on-screen magic,” remarked Azfar Rehman.

Khan made her television debut 18 years ago with the the PTV drama serial Tum Yehi Kehna and went on to have a very lucrative career on television, starring in hit shows like Kuch Pyar Ka Pagalpan, Mujhe Khuda Pe Yaqeen Hai, Mehram, Khuda Mera Bhi Hai and Mann Mayal to name a few. She also acted in Bilal Lashari’s directorial debut, Waar as well as Nadeem Baig’s Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. Needless to say, her presence on screen will be missed!

Pakistani actor Aisha Khan in a post on social media announced that she has “decided to bid farewell to our wonderful media industry.” While the actor did not specify the reasons behind her decision, she spoke at length about the industry and how it has shaped her into the person she is.

“I am bowing out with immense satisfaction and a lot of pride to move on to the next phase of my life,” she wrote before thanking everyone for their constant support and encouragement.

“At this point, I’d like to thank everyone who I have worked with in the industry and people outside of it especially my fans and well-wishers who have supported me unconditionally and appreciated my work. I have grown and developed and met many wonderful people in this industry to whom I’m ever so grateful. I have always tried to keep my professional and personal life separate and request everyone to understand.”

Aisha, one of the most popular actors in the Pakistan film industry has worked in a number of television dramas, including Mann Mayal, Mehndi and Parsa. She has also been part of several blockbuster films including Waar and Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.

While we are curious over the reasons behind her decision, we think its best to respect her privacy and let her tell us in due time.
